About The Visual Communications Program

The Visual Communications program is designed to help students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain positions within the digital imaging, computer illustration, web design, interactive media, and prepress industry. Students will have the opportunity to develop basic drawing, design, multimedia, 3-D design, animation and typographical skills to create graphic solutions. Projects focus on developing students' individual skills and talents. Graphic design, career development, and portfolio classes are utilized to prepare students for entrance into the workforce.

In addition all of the programs at LVC have an internship component. The internship allows the students to receive hands on practical experience and serves as a finishing course for their program of study. Students are placed in positions in facilities that match their program and are supervised during this training period.

Upon successful completion of program requirements students will be awarded an Associate in Science Degree. In most cases, the Visual Communications Degree can be earned in as little as 18 months.

Lehigh Valley College is located just outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania, on a beautiful 30-acre campus. Within an hour's drive of Bethlehem, Easton, and Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley College is also less than two hours from Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, and New York City!
