About The Associate in Applied Science Degree in Massage Therapy
The Massage Therapy program is designed to provide graduates with a solid educational foundation in the holistic approach of massage therapy. Students have the opportunity to gain extensive hands-on practice and skills in a variety of techniques applicable to the clinical setting. This program is also designed to prepare graduates with key business knowledge to help them build their individual massage therapy practices. Emphasis is placed on client-centered services and maintaining the highest professional standards.
In addition all of the programs at LVC have an internship component. The internship allows the students to receive hands on practical experience and serves as a finishing course for their program of study. Students are placed in positions in facilities that match their program and are supervised during this training period.

Massage Therapy
Laird holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development & Family Studies from Colorado State University and a Master of Arts degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Northern Colorado. He brings over 15 years of experience in the physical rehabilitation field and attained his massage training at the Lehigh Valley Healing Arts Academy in Emmaus, PA. in 1999. He has been nationally certified in Massage Therapy since 2000 and runs a part-time business, Lehigh Valley Massage Therapy as well as working for Benedetto Chiropractic Health Center in Bethlehem.
