World-Renowned Criminology Researcher to Speak at Lehigh Valley College

Center Valley—Dr. K. Jaishankar, a world-renowned criminology and criminal justice researcher, will present a lecture on cyber crime on Tuesday, February 13, at Lehigh Valley College. The lecture will begin at 11 a.m. and will be held in Rooms 104 and 106 within the college’s main campus building.

An accomplished author, editor, and researcher, Dr. Jaishankar will speak on the building of a solid theory dealing with criminal behavior in cyberspace. Jaishankar’s “Space Transition Theory” is focused on the nature of people’s behavioral patterns in and out of cyberspace, specifically their criminal and non-criminal tendencies.

Dr. Jaishankar is a lecturer in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. His areas of academic expertise include communal violence and terrorism, cyber criminology, crime mapping, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), theoretical criminology, victimology, policing, and crime prevention.
