Lehigh Valley College’s SIFE Team Takes Third Place In Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Apprentice Challenge

(Center Valley , June 13, 2006) – Lehigh Valley College’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team recently took third place in Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Eastern Division Apprentice Challenge. The competition, first of its kind, is planned as an annual event. It was held in the conference center at Kutztown University.

Lehigh Valley College was the only two-year school in this year’s competition. The rules were developed from a book on IRM written by Dr. James Ogden of the Kutztown faculty.

The competition was based on a 24-page research paper analyzing Enterprise’s 31-county Eastern Division operation and a 25-minute multi-media presentation explaining the team’s recommendations and justifying them with primary research, graphs, charts, and testimonials. Judges from Enterprise’s corporate office and professionals from the community reviewed all research and the multi-media presentation.

Professor Larry A. Moyer advised the Lehigh Valley College team. Teams from Kutztown and the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus finished first and second respectively.
